About The Kidney Farm:

The Kidney Farm started back in April 2009 when Guitarists Yazin and Kaza wanted to do a project band in hopes of performing for the Brunei Kendo Annual Dinner of 2009. They recruited fellow Kendo practitioners Nazz, Dayat, and Nadzif to join the group. Eventually, Nunu, mutual friends to the group was also asked to come in as The Kidney Farm’s rhythm guitarist and the final piece of the puzzle.

The Kidney Farm prides itself on trying to write original material that sets it apart from most bands in Brunei. To be known for sharing their views of their world from their eyes, as they see it. Their whole image is about friendship, appreciating life in the present and that no matter who you are, or where you’re from, life can surprise you.

Having started off performing at the 2009 Brunei Kendo Annual Dinner, they continued their effort with their growing fanbase by releasing their first "Fan Single"; free limited copies of their songs to their fans who had requested them. Shortly after they debuted after being interviewed by UBDfm in March and their single release hit no.3 in the UBDFm Charts


The Kidney Farm caught the attention of Local promoters Urban Touches Entertainment, and was given their first Concert at the Jerudong Park Mini Ampihteatre in April 2009, one day short of a year since the band was formed.


On December 18th 2010, The Kidney Farm held a special "for the Fans" concert dubbed "The Kidney Farm and Friends" organised by Radical Dreamer Studios which had the highest attendance for a Kidney Farm Concert for the year.


The Kidney Farm recently made an appearance at the UBDFM SMARTER Charity Event held on March 27th 2011. Along with other top notch bands, the Kidneys performed 6 of their songs for the SMARTER Cause.

Why are we called “The Kidney Farm”?

To clarify, it’s NOT an image of Kidneys in a Farm. It’s actually an abbreviation of the members names cleverly thought out. Kaza, Dayat, Nadzif, Nazz, Nunu, and Yazin, make up the word “KDNNNY”, which sounds like “Kidney”. It snowballed and became “The Kidney Farm”. Admittedly weird, but a name you probably won’t forget.
