The 17 year old drummer of the Kidney Farm has a thing for throwing sheep. That's right, you hear me. Sheep. So among many puzzling questions plaguing us, we decided to sit down with Dayat and ask him a few questions.
Hey Dayat, pleased to meet you on behalf of all the readers out there. We wanna get started with something a little simple and it's been bugging us for a while...

Replace the sticks with Sheep, and you'd get a typical jamming session with the Kidney Farm
We've been told that you had something to do with why the sheep became the Kidney Farm's Mascot. Care to elaborate?
Dayat: Was it me? (Laughs)I guess it all started when we decided to have fun with our blog. Man I really can't remember, somewhere along the fun posts and interviews, I 'threw' a sheep at everyone and ever since then, it became a running joke between us and eventually became the Kidney Farm's mascot!
Threw a sheep?? why a sheep? (laughs)
Dayat: The name 'The Kidney Farm' subconsciously suggested a sheep haha
Well maybe its a given then. So let's talk about whats up for the Kidney Farm. The news floating around is that a first ever album is coming up?
Dayat: We are currently working on our first ever album! We have been recording the instrumentals for the album for the past few months and you can say we're about half done with everything. If all goes well, it could be out by next month!
So the rumours are true! Are you guys planning anything for the launch?
Dayat: Well, I can't reveal everything (Laughs) So I guess we'd have to wait and see
Let's talk about the songs that could be in the album, because I can guess you're not going to tell us what's in there right? But at least tell us what can we expect to hear from the Kidney Farm, genre wise and in comparison to what's already out there in the Brunei Music Scene
Dayat: For some songs, we try and experiment with different sounds and genres but for most, I'd have to say Pop Rock, which is pretty much hard to find in the Brunei music scene which consists of a lot of hard rock and metal.
Let's go back to the Kidney Farm and Friend Concert last December. As a drummer how was that experience for you? doing a full concert. And There's been some demand for another show. Would you guys be up to that?
Dayat: I was very nervous for that gig to be honest. Everything started to worry me like "Am I gonna be in tempo?", "Will I go off-beat?, "Will I forget my cue?" and so on. My mind was flooded with these thoughts until I heard the roar of the crowd. With their support, all of my worries just vanished. So I just want to thank everyone for the confidence boost! The whole night was quite an enjoyable experience and of course, I'd be up for another one!
That's good to hear! We'll be expecting another show soon! If there was one thing about the future ahead for the Kidney Farm that you can tell the fans, What would it be?
Dayat: That would be recognition for our music and to do gigs overseas! Pretty much what most bands want! (Laughs)
Well thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule to give us this interview. We know how hard you must be working for the new album! Any last few words for the readers?
Dayat: I would like to thank everyone once again for their support. It really keeps us motivated to do more! and I hope for the best for The Kidney Farm!
