While there are some on the national music scene blissfully unaware of the possibility of holding a concert at ICC, and others who find it too formal for rock bands to perform there, The Kidney Farm chose ICC to kick off their annual end of year concert, The Kidney Farm and Friends 2011.Was it worth it for the fans, and the band? A big "Yeah!" judging by the turn-out and fan's tweets and flooding posts on the band members' individual Facebook account.
"Been a whirlwind year" was how the band described after the concert on their Twitter account.
The band combined talent with clear personal touches as they opened the show with their signature song "New Beginnings" for the first set and resumed to the second set with acoustic strumming followed by a transition to upbeat singles. The synchronised lighting effects was a major aid in elevating the atmosphere in the last of their shows this year. Having performed since 2009, The Kidney Farm made the 2 hours seem effortless with a song set of 20.
The more than 150 fans were thrilled and treated to hits such as "Believe", "Lights Out" and "Almost Cherry".
